GROOMLIST OF THINGS TO DO:
Most of the times its seen that the groom to be doesn’t have a lot of involvement in the planning of the wedding.Infact all that he knows is that he is getting married. However, there is a lot more to being a groom than simply making sure you turn up on the day of your wedding 😀 Typically couples will share the duties around planning and organizing the wedding, divvying up responsibilities here and there but ultimately it’s the bride who looks up at all the work with a detailed eye and the groom is pretty much ok with a few changes. However, tradition dictates that there are some things the groom must do by himself without the guiding hand of his wife-to-be.
1] CHOOSE YOUR BEST MAN :
Best man is the chief assistant to the groom at a wedding. The groom has to extend the honour to one of his oldest, closest or dearest friend. If you cant make a single choice you can have two or more USHERS.Ushers are equivalent to bridesmaids. However this would be an ideal way to include your fiancées male family members also don’t be bullied into choosing who your fiancée wants.Your best man and the ushers put in a lot of work both on the day and in the build up to the wedding. You should already have a rough idea as to who you think will be more reliable and responsible.
2] CHOOSING AND BUYING THE WEDDING RING:
Involving your going to be wife in choosing or designing her ring will be much appreciated by her. Also you will avoid choosing something she doesn’t like and of course you will be safe from the after effects. She has to wear it for the rest of her life so might as well let her choose something she wants or likes.
3]ARRANGE FOR THE HONEYMOON:
During the wedding there will be ample of people to smooth the journey for you from a fiancé to a groom. But what after that?! You alone will have to make arrangements regarding your honeymoon keeping in mind your wifes list of dream places to visit.I wouldn’t insist you alone fork out for that 2 week sortie to the “Maldives”. By all means drive the discussion with your wife and take a lead in making the necessary arrangements.
4]WHAT TO WEAR?!
You will of course want to look the best you have ever looked so you should go for a style, cut, suit or sherwani and colour that highlights your best bits and covers up the worst. Also keep in mind to not clash with the colour schemes of the wedding or the colour of the brides outfit.Master session class with us is following along which will help you know the latest trends.
One can see a return to old –world-charm sensibility, especially when it comes to mens fashion for wedding wear.Because, the wedding functions are so spread out, today, you have the choice to experiment with various styles and fabrics;well-tailored suits for cocktails, linens for mehendi etc.The safas are no longer the simple orange and red,but use beautiful brocade work. The mojaris are also increasingly becoming a popular choice of accessory with a lot of them getting customized.
There are three trends: the use of gold, but in the sense of a more old world and therefore dull gold.Ivory ,is always in trend and Velvet, but used in highlights.Using tone on tone and self-motifs in the design is also in style, currently.Embroidered jodhpurs, jeweled tone ajkan with white jodhpurs are some of the popular looks.
Grooms should wear whatever they are comfortable in and select pieces that reflect their personal style but not follow trends blindly. What has been a great hit is that because of structured draping in menswear,it has enabled men to wear silhouettes like never before. Thanks to the draping expertise, one can wear pre-draped pants and dhotis and keep the elegance of another time but again in a contemporary way.
One thing is for sure, more GROOMS are excited about being PHOTOGRAPHED as they prepare for the big moment. After all they want and deserve to be as fashionable as the bride. We agree!!!:)
